Azalea plants are amongst the most common flowering plants for indoor spaces or gardens. Azalea plant grows up to 60 cm and belongs to the Rhododendron family. Azalea plant blooms in various colors ranging from white and yellow to purple, pink and red.  Azalea plant contains numerous flowers and they last a long period of time. This quality makes Azalea plant an ideal candidate to add accent to any indoor space, including offices, living rooms, bedrooms and any indoor space that needs a touch of color. An Azalea plant also makes a perfect gift for any special occasion such as birthdays and anniversaries. Azalea plant’s leaves, flowers and sap are highly toxic and meant to be kept away from children and pets.

Conditions:

Temperature: Azalea plants need couple of months of cool but not freezing (40-55 degrees Fahrenheit) temperature during fall or winter to bloom, afterwards keep it in the room temperature to enjoy beautiful Azalea flowers.

Light: Azalea plants do well in bright spaces; however keep your Azalea plants away from direct sunlight.

Water: keep Azalea plant’s soil moist at all times, but don’t soak the roots.

Repotting: You can repot your Azalea plant every three years or so during spring time. You should never repot your Azalea plant when it is blooming
